dome12 – Glasgow

Dome12 was built for Archeology at the University of Glasgow. It uses 1m plastic quarters and our favourite 9W LEDs. The camera/dome structure uses strong adjustable aluminium sections for stability.

wiring up these domes is very slow – here is a taster of the process. The domes have a few layers of undercoat paint except for small spots to locate and better fix the LEDs.

For reference the LEDs are Bridgelux BXRC-40G1000-B-23, which have a colour temperature of 4000K, emit 1000 lumen and have a good colour rendering index (CRI) of 90. The plot below shows the solid line is broad in the centre – but still has a typical 450nm blue spike.
