Direction de l’Archéologie du Pas-de-Calais
This geodesic dome was installed in the photo-studio in Dainville, France , in November 2017
they are using it to image a wide range of objects such as lithics, stones and ceramics and said: ” it’s really helpful to read the objects. The different visualization modes allow us to see all the small details, which are helpful to identify and to realize the technical drawing of the archeological objects. For ceramics, it highlights surface treatment, or decoration, which are sometimes not visible without a specific light, and almost impossible to be seen in a classic photography.”
